Below you will find answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding the actual race(s) taking place in Colorado.
Q: Can my son run with me in the 5k? (10k or 10 Miler?)
A: YES! For 2021, men (and your son) can now register for the Women's Classic to honor all the wonderful women in their lives!
Q: May I participate with my stroller?
A: Yes, absolutely.
Q: Do I have to register my kiddo?
A: If your child stays in the stroller the whole race, no, you do NOT have to register them as a separate participant.
Our rule is, if they are using their own two feet to participate in one of our races, then, YES, you do need to register them. This is due to safety, participant counts for city permits and calculation of materials needed for the race!
Q: May I participate with my dog?
A: Check the specific 'course info' page for the event in which you are running. In most cases, well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the course as long as you start near the back of the back.
Q: May I run with headphones?
A: Yes, you may run with headphones. We just ask that you leave one ear bud out or have the volume low enough to hear important announcements at the start/finish and volunteer/course marshal directions on the course!
Q: Do you have pacers on the course?
Q: Is there a bag check?
A: No formal bag check is available, but you are welcome to leave your bag at the 3W Races tent and pick it up after your run. There is no check-in/check-out procedure.
Q: I would like to switch distances for this event. How can I do that and what is the fee?
A: You registered through a 3rd Party site, www.RunSignUp.com, and created a username and password at that time. Log in to RunSignUp.com to manage your registration. Look at the blue tabs that read "Transfer to Another Event" and walk through the steps there. 3W Races does not add any fees to do this. If there is a difference in what you paid when you registered and what the current fee is for the distance you want to run (when transferring UP in distances), RunSignUp will charge the difference and their small processing fee.
Q: I can't make it to advanced packet pick up. Can someone else pick up for me?
A: Yes, absolutely! Send a friend or family member to pick up your gear in advance.
Q: I'm a walker and will take longer than the course cut off time. Does this mean I can't participate in the fun event?
A: Walkers are welcome and we'll do everything we can to include you in our very fun day! Although the course may 'close' at a certain time to accommodate City or other requirements, we will start you earlier than the rest so that you can finish before the closure time. If this is the case for you, email us in advance!
Q: Is there any water or support on the course?
A: Absolutely. Please refer to the COURSE INFORMATION page for each event. On that page you'll find information about how many water stations we provide and where the toilets on the course are located!
At each water station, you'll find water, sports drink and energy gels (by request at early stations). The friendly volunteers at the aid stations will also have radio/phone access to the on-course EMT and finish line paramedics just in case you need more support than a cup of cold water!
Q: I picked up my shirt and now I'd like a different size. What can I do?
A: Bring your unworn shirt to the race. As soon as the race starts, we open 'shirt exchange' with any shirts that were unclaimed. You can trade out your unused shirt for a different size, as long as supplies last.
Q: How will this shirt fit me? Will it shrink?
A: The shirt is a women's cut, short-sleeved poly/cotton blend. The size chart from the manufacturer is listed below. Use the chart to determine your appropriate order size.
Q: How can I fix a typo or update my profile?

Q: I would really like my confirmation email on hand, but I accidentally deleted it! How can I get it back?
You can re-send your confirmation to yourself, which also serves as a receipt for work-related wellness challenges. Click here for a how to guide.
Q: Do you offer a military discount?
A: Yes! Send us your rank and branch to info@3WRaces.com and request a military discount code. We'll send you a 10% off code that you use on all 3W events throughout the calendar year in which it is requested. (Does not apply to 'packaged or bundled' races or virtual events.) You'll also receive special use instructions in the email at that time! Note: may be required to show proof at time of packet pick up!
Q: Do you offer discounts for teams?
A: Yes! When you have a group of five or more, everyone saves $5! The way this works is as follows:
-Participant 1: Signs up first at full price and creates a TEAM. You will have to create a team name and a password so that only your group can sign up with you. (Click here for info on how to create a team.)
-Participants 2 through 4: Register like normal making sure to join the team, at full price.
-Participant 5 and on: Signs up, joining the team as well, and notices their registration is $5 cheaper! WOO HOO!
Then, a $5 refund is automatically applied to participants 1 through 4 (assuming they paid at least $5.00 for the race)!
Cool, huh? Teams must be created or joined at time of registration. Team Rewards/Refunds will not be awarded retroactively. I.E: you must sign up for a team at registration to be eligible for the $5 discount or refund.

Q: How can I get text messaging or emails of my results?
A: We're so glad that we can offer FREE text messaging and email notification of your results! Log in to your RunSignUp account. Click on PROFILE, then MY REGISTERED RACES, then select MANAGE REGISTRATION under COLORADO WOMEN'S CLASSIC. Then click on RESULT NOTIFICATIONS and follow the prompts on the screen.
Q: Where can I find results from this event?
A: On each event page, there is a button near the top that reads, "RESULTS". Click there to be redirected to the link for results. This link is also sent to you in the post-event email from the race director.
Q: My time is not posted, not correctly posted, has my name spelled incorrectly, etc. How can I get my results adjusted?
A: Email us right away and we'll do what we can to make it right! Include your name, bib number, where you wore your bib, which distance you ran, what your estimated or self recorded time was and we'll research it with our timers right away.
Q: Where can I find pictures from this event?
A: On each event page, there is a button near the top that reads. 'PHOTOS' or click here. Photos are FREE for you to download. This link is also sent to you in the post-event email from the race director.
Photos will be uploaded in the afternoon of the event.
Q: I think I placed in my age group, but I didn't stick around for awards. Will you mail my medal/prize to me?
A: You must be present to claim your award and we don't mail awards after the event. However, email us if this is the case, and we may be able to drop off your award at a partner business or nearby running store for you to pick up!
Q: I didn't pick up my packet and I didn't come to the race. Can I still get my packet after the event?
A: No - sorry. Any unclaimed swag is disassembled and returned, gifted, recycled or re-purposed immediately following each event date.
Q: I didn't get a timing chip for my shoe. What should I do?
A: No worries. The timing chip is adhered to the back of your race bib. You do not need to place anything on your shoe, nor do you need to return any chips to us.
Q: I can't run (because I am injured, left the country, haven't trained, am going to a party instead, just found out I've got the kids that weekend, forgot to check my calendar before registering, or I just don't want to do it.) Can I get a refund?
Sorry, there are no refunds, but you do have a few options:
A. Race "virtually." If you already registered and will not be racing with us on race day, you are still welcome to pick up your packet (shirt, bib, goody bag) during advanced packet pick up and run on your own at a different date/time/location to "earn" your swag.
B. You can "transfer" your registration to another participant using the management functions at www.RunSignUp.com. Race registration fees are non-refundable.
C. Transfer to a DIFFERENT 3W event. If you want to transfer your registration to a different DATE of a 3W owned event, you can do so yourself by logging into your RunSignUp.com account. We will allow this when requested at least 72 hours BEFORE the start of the event. You can select a new "event" for a $15 fee. Run Sign Up takes what you paid, less the $15, and applies it to the new registration.You can apply your funds to another 3W Races Event date in the same calendar year. Tutorial:
D. Transfer Distances! You can transfer to a shorter distance if this helps make your decision to stay in the race better! Tutorial:
Q: Will we run in poor weather conditions?
A: The race will not be postponed or cancelled due to weather unless something SEVERE is happening such as lightning storm, tornado or white-out conditions. If that is the case, announcements will be made on our Facebook page and on the race webpage in addition to racer email communication. Lightning may cause a delay. 99.9% of the time, the race will go on as scheduled.
Q: What's the procedure for awards and what are the age groups?
A: Awards will be given to the top three women overall and top five men overall in each race distance as well as the top three women in each age group.
10k and 10 Miler Age Groups: 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
5k Age Groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and 80+
Q: This is my first event. I have a lot of questions.
A: THAT IS AMAZING! We're so happy to have you join us. Did you know that 30% of racers at this event reported that it was their first time racing, too? Email the race director if you ever have a question that isn't answered here.
The other women participating next to you are some pretty remarkable ladies and we KNOW that they will be encouraging and supportive if you have questions on race day - just ask someone standing next to you! You may just make a new friend!
Q: My coupon code/gift certificate/voucher isn't working; what do I do?
A: Thanks for your patience, this is an easy fix. First, DO NOT complete your registration. Please email us the voucher/coupon code, a little info on where you got it, and if applicable, a picture of the voucher/gift certificate. We'll get back to you shortly and look into why the code may not be working! If you're on a time crunch because of a price increase, don't worry, we'll honor it when we fix your code.
